Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is all set for its worldwide release this November 16. The game is going to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s part of the Sherlock Holmes series by Frogwares.
For those who still play with current-gen consoles, not to worry. Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are releasing later this year.
In a post, Head of Production at Frogwares Serge Chervonnyi shared that the game focuses on a young Sherlock Holmes. This is the time in his life before he became the world-famous detective. According to Chervonnyi, the young detective is confident on the outside, but on the inside, is still trying to figure out who Sherlock is.
The story follows Sherlock as he returns to the island of Cordona in the Mediterranean after the death of his mother. What appears to be an idyllic town actually has a conspiracy hiding beneath the surface.

The game has players explore the whole city to find the truth using clues, disguises, and even rumors. Sherlock’s observation skills are not just for solving mysteries. Players can also use them to determine where the enemy is vulnerable to take them down.
This game also has players understand that each story has two sides, especially since those living on the island have their own ideas when it comes to truth and justice. In addition to learning the truth, players need to decide whether revealing it can do more harm than good.

Pre-order of the game is now available at Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store. Priced at $44.99, those who pre-order Sherlock Holmes Chapter One get Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments and the Victorian Starter Pack.
Crimes and Punishment, the seventh game in the franchise, was released in 2014. The game is set in London between 1894 and 1895. While the gameplay was focused on determining the right culprit, players are given the moral choice of condemning the culprit or absolving them.
