Time is running out if EA plans to keep their promise for a Sims game pack release before spring’s end. The official announcement for the long-teased restaurant game pack (tentatively titled Dine Out) should come any day now, if a handful of Sims Team members aren’t preemptively feeding the hype.

If you’re following along in the Sims forums, you know that when SimGuruDrake posts an excited GIF, it means there’s some kind of official announcement or reveal on the way in the days following.

The first excited GIF came from SimGuruDrake on Twitter, and SimGuruNinja joined the party shortly after with a GIF of Winnie The Pooh patiently waiting to eat dinner.

Next, we got a GIF of Phil Dunphy from Modern Family giving a thumbs up to a forum question asking whether or not the announcement is game pack related.

Not much is known about the upcoming dining-related game pack. Last week’s unofficial leak from the UK’s Smyth’s Toys reveals the game pack’s name is The Sims 4: Dine Out. The site lists May 26 as the release date. Check out the included description below:

The Sims™ 4 Dine Out – Own a restaurant and take your Sims out to eat. Create and manage a variety of restaurants, hire staff, and set the perfect menu to earn a profit and expand your business. Dine out with Sims to enjoy all-new experimental cuisine and spend quality time with friends and family.

Dine Out appears to have all the expected gameplay that has been featured in previous restaurant game packs, but adds the unique ability to own and manage your own restaurant. It’s unclear what exactly ‘experimental’ cuisine entails, but we’ll have to wait for the official Dine Out trailer to find out for sure. A variety of themed restaurants would definitely spice things up, as would a grocery store or farmers markets to serve as new social playgrounds.

The official teaser for the next Game Pack and Stuff Pack arrived on a Tuesday (as has every Sims 4 DLC so far), it’s a safe bet the announcement is tomorrow morning! Are you excited? Let us know what new features you're looking forward to in the comments.
