Sniper Elite 4 is the latest unreleased video game to get its own “101” trailer, an extended clip intended to give players a quick overview of the project in question, and explains why we’re transitioning from North Africa (site of Sniper Elite 3) in the next addition to the series. The new Sniper Elite 4 trailer also runs through many of the features we’ll see in the shooter.
Most of the information in this week’s Sniper Elite 4 trailer should be familiar to longtime fans of the series. You might have missed an announcement about the new X-ray cams, or confirmation that we’ll get to kill Hitler again, but the basics of the Sniper Elite 4 gameplay formula remain largely unchanged. The goal is still to remain both unseen and unheard while exploring settings spread across the Italian coast and eliminating whatever high-ranking Nazi targets have been assigned to the game’s recurring protagonist, Lt. Karl Fairburne.
The new trailer also highlights the many multiplayer offerings available in Sniper Elite 4. Players can complete the entire campaign with a partner or hop online to compete in 12-player matches. There will even be a separate set of cooperative challenges, intended for two- to four-player teams, to complete once you’ve finished the Sniper Elite 4 campaign.
For a closer look at Sniper Elite 4, check out the new 101 trailer embedded at the top of the post. Then hit the comments section and let us know if you’re planning to experience Lt. Karl’s next adventure when it heads to PC and consoles in mid-February.
Sniper Elite 4 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game debuts Feb. 14.
