After a series of delays that pushed Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 well past its original Jan. 27 launch date, CI Games has announced its next tactical shooter has finally gone gold. So there shouldn’t be anything else standing between Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 and its April 25 debut.
The news arrives alongside a 14-minute gameplay trailer for the upcoming open-world title that introduces a pair of new additions to the series. This week’s Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 video takes viewers on a guided tour of a Side Op, larger side missions that offer players a bit more freedom of movement, while the game is being played in Challenge Mode. The latter is a new addition to the franchise meant to drastically increase the difficulty for those in search of a tougher journey. When players have Challenge Mode activated, they’ll lose their HUD, enemy perception is noticeably improved and tags disappear when your drone is recalled.
This week’s Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 footage arrives a little over a week after the game’s latest story trailer, an 83-second introduction to brothers Jonathan and Robert North. We won’t spoil anything here, just in case you’re trying to preserve the mystery for launch day, but the trailer does a solid job of establishing a reason for Jon’s undertaking in SGW3.
