A new Star Ocean: Integrity And Faithlessness gameplay video has been released by PlayStation Underground, Sony’s in-house video series, offering another preview of the combat mechanics we’ll see in Star Ocean when the game makes its PlayStation 4 debut later this month.
Interestingly, our latest look at Star Ocean: Integrity And Faithlessness is clearly intended to appeal to those without any prior experience with the Star Ocean franchise. The video begins with an announcement that the PlayStation Underground team member behind the controls hasn’t played any of the previous Star Ocean titles, making them an excellent surrogate for many of those watching the Integrity And Faithlessness demo on their PC, phone or tablet. Thankfully, while we found the prospect of controlling seven characters pretty challenging , it looks we’ll have plenty of practice with smaller parties to prepare for the bigger battles.
In many ways, the community’s latest preview of Star Ocean: Integrity And Faithlessness could double as a hands-off tutorial for the upcoming JRPG. The 20 minute video includes numerous tips for new players, including some basic battlefield strategies, along with some background on the characters and story we’ll see in the next Star Ocean when it debuts later this month.
