News on Steven Universe has been quiet since New York Comic Con, but fans have a new reason to be pleased today: the two-month Steven Universe hiatus ends with new special episode “Gem Harvest,” airing Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

“Gem Harvest” is another half-hour special episode, like gutpuncher “Bismuth” back in August. Buy your tissues, get your blankets and pet your companion animal, because if “Gem Harvest” is anything like “Bismuth,” you’ll need a little “mindful education” before you can cope with it. The description for that “Gem Harvest” video is already looking so innocuous:
“Steven works his magic and makes a pumpkin come to life! Lapis and Peridot are disappointed that the newly-living beast doesn't immediately take to them, but Steven (unknowingly) helps the pumpkin bond with its new gem-owners.”
But once you see the video clip, you realize that Steven traumatized a semi-sentient creature so badly it rejects him for new guardians. Steven’s knife meme, is that you?
