Jon Bernthal’s rendition of Frank Castle AKA the Punisher will be one of the most anticipated performances of 2016 as fans of Netflix and Marvel Studios’ Daredevil season 2 approaches. And while the former The Walking Dead actor relishes his new role with plenty of Twitter pics, his latest shows off what the Punisher’s outfit may look like.
Or it could just be Bernthal having some fun.
In a recent Twitter post, Jon Bernthal posted a pic of himself wearing some recognizable Frank Castle duds as he walked on-set of Daredevil season 2 . Take a look:
— Jon Bernthal (@jonnybernthal) September 16, 2015While Jon Bernthal is having a good time, this new Twitter post leads to speculation as to whether we will get the good ol’ white Skull on Frank’s Daredevil season 2 costume. In some of the leaked set photos we see Bernthal taking down thugs and even bloodied up but in those photos he is in a black shirt. And in one we see a black bulletproof vest but there is no sign of the iconic white skull.
Bernthal could be hinting at the traditional Punisher suit appearing in Daredevil season 2 but as we saw in season 1, not even Matt Murdock had a traditional comic book costume until the final episode of season 1. And even then it was modernized for practicality.
The great thing about Frank Castle ’s comic book look is that it is already practical and easy to pull off so look for the Punisher to show off the white skull when he appears in Daredevil season 2.
Daredevil Season 2 does not have a hard release date but is expected to premiere in Spring 2016 around the same time as season 1.
