It’s been a week since the release of Guitar Hero Live and Activision’s return to the music genre has been met with praise from fans and industry leaders.
But by far the most progressive part of Guitar Hero Live was the inclusion of GHTV, a streaming video service that allows players to play alongside music videos. This adds to the in-game track list and includes some of the most popular songs -- not just of the rock genre -- today.
And Activision has just released the most popular songs from its GHTV on-demand feature. This list of the top 10 songs of Guitar Hero TV is for the week of Oct. 20-26 and includes some surprises while most are non-surprises.
Here’s the list of the top songs in GHTV:
1. System of a Down – Chop Suey!
2. Tenacious D – Tribute
3. Green Day – American Idiot
4. Blink-182 – All the Small Things
5. Disturbed – Down With The Sickness
6. Bruno Mars – The Lazy Song
7. Passenger – Let Her Go
8. Slipknot – Before I Forget
9. Fountains of Wayne – Stacy’s Mom
10. Korn – Freak on a Leash
Activision and the Guitar Hero Live team have assured us at iDigitalTimes that GHTV will continuously be updated
“We’re still working out the cadence for how often new content will be updated in the game, but the intent is to have regular updates that keep players wanting to come back for more again and again,” Tyler Michaud, senior director of product management for Guitar Hero Live, told iDigitalTimes.
Every week, this list will likely change especially when new songs are added to GHTV and Guitar Hero Live.
