Looks like 2016 will be a great year for superhero movies. Captain America: Civil War may be another hit for Marvel, not that it comes as a surprise to anyone, according to new reports about the movie’s audience screen tests.
BirthMoviesDeath reports Marvel is relieved the film was well received during test screenings. Marvel was allegedly concerned the film was too dark for Marvel lovers and wouldn’t do as well at the box office. However, the test audience loved the movie and ended up debating whether Civil War is the best Marvel movie to date.
“My sources tell me that the movie doesn't pull any punches in the third act, and that if Marvel execs had been concerned about the film going dark places, these stellar test screenings have alleviated all those fears,” according to BirthMoviesDeath . “So if the test screening audiences are right we're looking at a movie at least as good as Winter Soldier, which could be argued as the best Marvel movie yet.”
We’ll see if Captain America: Civil War is as good as Marvel thinks it is. Avengers: Age of Ultron did well at the box office, but definitely didn’t top the original Avenger’s movie for some fans. Little is known about the third Captain America movie, but there are exciting rumors three major deaths were filmed for the movie with only one being real.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6.
