After months of speculation, Nintendo 3DS title leaks and new Pokémon fans are finally going to get answers on Friday, Feb. 26 when the latest Nintendo Direct streams online.
This particular Direct will be focused on Pokémon and will likely give us the official announcement of Pokémon Z (or whatever the next main game will be) and at least a release date window.
Whatever it is, expect BIG news.
According to the official Pokemon website, the Pokémon-specific Nintendo Direct will have a special video presentation with “big Pokémon news.” Fans are encouraged tovVisit Nintendo.com at the time of the stream to watch the Direct but to also return to the official Pokémon website immediately following the conclusion to get more details on what is announced.
The recent rumored 3DS title leak revealed that the 20th Anniversary game would be releasing in the Fall/Holiday season, which makes sense, but with the code name “ninji” or “rainbow.” This is just a code name and normally doesn’t mean much, but perhaps it’s another announcement on top of the expected Pokémon Z announcement.
Are we going to get a Gen 7 game sooner than we think? We already have Magearna to start the Generation 7 speculation so we’ll have to wait and see on Feb. 26.
We can also finally get a proper release date for Pokémon Go. There’s a lot that can be announced/revealed.
The Pokémon Nintendo Direct comes a day before the eShop Red, Blue and Yellow versions are supposed to drop for the New Nintendo 3DS. Coincidence? Definitely not.
We will update with any more information as we get it but in the meantime, let us know what you think is going to be announced during the Pokémon Nintendo Direct in the comments section and watch the official Nintendo Twitch channel below.
