Blizzard just teased the newest Overwatch hero on its Twitter account. It’s a sniper support with a healing mechanism that may also deploy some form of turret. In the picture, we see blueprints for a sniper gun with comments from Torbjorn and Mercy. The blueprints show Mercy’s healing rod and Torbjorn’s turret in its tiny form before it’s deployed. Torbjorn says Mercy’s healing technology could be used by more than medics in the field, implying this new hero might have a tether ability that does damage.

Mercy is worried that creating this technology would be “a slippery slope” and could “result in a weaponized version of this technology.” I expect the new hero will be a member of Talon, a terrorist group that kills Overwatch agents. He or she will be an ex-Overwatch member who is now going after old members of his or her team.

The text accompanying the picture reads: “[ARCHIVE] Communications Records of Ziegler, A. – Overwatch File 00231 – Security Classification: CONFIDENTIAL.” The blueprints are being sent to J. Morrison, who is Soldier 76, and G. Reyes, who is Reaper with the subject line ‘prototype Biotic Rifle.” We have no idea who A. Ziegler is, or why these blueprints are confidential. The Brazilian picture is slightly different; it includes A.Amari, Pharrah's mom.

We can assume these blueprints were created before Overwatch was disbanded, since Reaper and Solider 76 are trying to kill each other right now. It's highly possible this could be Sombra, who has connections to both Reaper and Solider 76.

Hopefully, this new support hero will be coming out soon, because I love supporting but hate playing Lucio or Mercy every game.
