Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is set to release in Fall 2016 and the next RPG from Bandai Namco has some brand new gameplay footage. Kadokawa's Dengeki Online website --via Anime News Network -- streamed two gameplay videos this week showing how the game looks and plays.
The first Sword Art Online video shows a battle against a “named monster,” which is a strong monster type in the game. The video also shows how you can prepare your character before engaging the monster. You see Kirito changing weapons before charging in to fight the monster.
Healing is a big thing during these fights; even if your main character is defeated, if one of your teammates can reach you and heal you before the team is taken down, you can continue the fight.
The footage also shows what happens when the monster is just too strong and your entire team is defeated.
The second Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization gameplay footage shows off the combos you can pull off while wielding some of the large swords in the game. There are charged attacks, aerial combos and much more.
