Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! was last on the air in 2010 with their Chrimbus Special, which aired a few months after the series finale. Since then, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have moved on to other projects. Tim has been very busy with his brilliant movie critic parody web-series, On Cinema at the Cinema, and has also gotten into some playful political music making, the best of which is his track Mar A Lago, about Trump’s favorite place from Trump’s perspective. Meanwhile, Eric has been steadily directing music videos and is a recurring character and director on Master of None.
As great as their follow up work has been, it is hard to imagine they’ll create anything as beloved as Awesome Show. Luckily, 7 years later, we are finally getting another taste of Tim and Eric. The duo has announced a 10th Anniversary Special, celebrating 10 years since the show’s premiere, officially titled “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Awesome 10-Year Anniversary Version, Great Job?” Anyone who got a chance to see Tim and Eric on their 10th Anniversary tour already had a chance to see the episode, but for everyone else, the special will air Aug. 27 at Midnight EST. It promises “new sketches, familiar faces, and the same old ‘Awesome Show.’”

More good news for fans of Tim and Eric, their dark comedy anthology series, Tim and Eric Bedtime Stories, will be returning to Adult Swim for Second Season. It premieres Sept. 10 at Midnight EST. We haven’t seen new content from this project since 2015. The season will star Twin Peaks alum Ray Wise, who Eric previously worked with on his music video for Beach House’s Wishes track. If you haven’t seen it, check out the video, it’s one of my favorites.
It’s super exciting to get multiple Tim and Eric collaborations after they’ve spent time on their solo projects. What do you look forward to seeing in Tim and Eric’s 10th anniversary special? Let us know in the comment section below.
