There’s a The Walking Dead season 6 promo image of a “walker” version of a cast member as if it were a huge spoiler that would ruin the midseason return. People need to calm down.
The Walking Dead promo image was released two weeks ago on Instagram featuring what many believed to be the walker-version of Deanna Monroe. You can’t see Deanna’s face, but the walker has a necklace she wore on the show as well as a wedding band. However, it’s no big secret Deanna isn’tgoing to make it out that house alive.
Now, everyone else’s fate in The Walking Dead is up in the air. We don’t know who out of Rick, Carl, Judith, Michonne, Jessie, Ron, Sam and Father Gabriel will make it out of Alexandria alive. It’s likely Rick, Carl, Michonne and Judith are probably safe from death at this point, but things aren’t looking so great for Jessie, especially with Sam drawing attention to her in the walker heard.
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman recently visited Inside the Actors Studio where he spoke about deaths on the series. Kirkman explained major character deaths need to happen on the series or it wouldn’t be as interesting to watch. Unfortunately, it’s much harder for Kirkman to part ways with a character on the show than it is in his comic books.
"If you go too long a period with characters surviving and being safe you lose that element of 'Oh my god, these characters could go at any moment,'" Kirkman told Inside the Actors Studio . "That's a tremendously powerful engine that drives this thing and it's very emotional but in comics it's me and the artist going, 'I guess those lines in the paper don't exist anymore. Oh, well.' It's very emotional for us because we do love these characters but it doesn't have that added element that the TV show has where these are our friends that we see everyday but it doesn't stop us. We don't care."
The Walking Dead season 6 returns to AMC on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. EST.
