Jeffrey Dean Morgan is really playing up Negan’s arrival in The Walking Dead Season 7. The actor recently made an appearance at the Minncon 2016 convention , where he talked about his new role.
Fans obviously were curious about who Negan killed in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale, to which Morgan had a very interesting response.
"I can't stress enough that if you were one of those people who were like, 'Oh, f---ing cliffhanger...' You're gonna be really, really wishing that the cliffhanger had never ended after the first episode back," Morgan told the crowd. "So, be careful what you wish for."
Still, fans will probably be relieved to know who died in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale, even if it is one of their favorite characters. The finale ended with a disappointing cliffhanger where we saw Negan beat someone to death, but don’t find out who he killed. Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the show, recently commented on the backlash from the finale during an interview with Entertainment Weekly .
“We love the fans,” Lincoln said. “I love the fact that everybody is so engaged with it and so opinionated about it. I think it’s a great energy that we feed off. I mean, obviously we don’t want a divided reaction every time we do something as a season finale because then we’d start to be concerned, but we value and respect everybody’s opinion because without it we wouldn’t be here. I sort of keep out of the online stuff. I don’t do any social media. I don’t read reviews, because you can’t just take the good stuff. You have to take the bad stuff as well, and I don’t want to engage in that.”
The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Oct. 23 on AMC.
