AMC just released The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere title and it’s a throwback to the episode that changed Rick’s life forever.
The title of the episode is “T he Day Will Come When You Won't Be .” Remember when Rick’s group found the CDC center in Atlanta during The Walking Dead Season 2? You might remember it as the episode where Rick found out everyone who dies will turn into a walker. Well, the last remaining survivor at the CDC, Dr. Jenner, had some choice words for Rick after he thanked him for opening the doors to the laboratory.
“The day will come when you won't be,” Jenner’s exact last words.
You know who was at the CDC with Rick that survived? Glenn, Daryl and Carl . We know Carl is safe because he’s to Rick’s left. You know who was to Rick’s right? Glenn and Daryl. Dying at the CDC would’ve been much cleaner death than getting beat to death with a baseball bat.
Rick will have a lot of cleaning up to do after his encounter with Negan. Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham, recently told Entertainment Weekly people will turn against Rick because of the way he handled the Negan threat. To make things work, Rick will blame himself as well. After all, it was Rick’s idea to kill people in their sleep.
“Oh, that’s probably the weakest moment for everyone. This whole group has made a series of terrible choices that culminate in this,” Cudlitz said. “I mean, a lot of people blame Rick for completely underestimating, and I think that Rick blames Rick, and we are in a completely helpless situation at this moment. And from there, it’s just sort of [let’s] see what can be done. Is there a moment when we’re going to be able to… because the show can’t end like this. I mean, there has to be at some point some fight back, some push back in some way with what happens after.”
Only 21 days left until The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere. We’re ready to see who died, but more importantly, how the survivors deal with the deaths to come. The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere Oct. 23 on AMC.
