Looks like Dwight has taken more from Daryl than just his bike and crossbow. The latest The Walking Dead Season 7 clip leaves us with more questions than answers.
The clip shows Dwight riding up to what appears to be some kind of walker road block. Dwight looks a bit caught off guard and curious about the crash site. It looks like the walkers might’ve gotten into an accident, but it’s hard to tell, as there’s little context for the scene. Watch the full clip below.
The most interesting part of the teaser has to do with Dwight’s clothes. The Savior member is wearing a leather vest with wings on the back. You know who that belongs to? DARYL. Which means either The Saviors have Daryl, or Negan went all Lucille on the fan-favorite character.
Don’t worry, all signs point to Daryl being alive at the moment. Seems like Dwight has a bit of an obsession with Daryl. It wasn’t enough to steal Daryl’s weapon and bike, Dwight had to go and take his signature vest, too.
Poor Daryl. First, he loses his crossbow, then his bike, then Carol abandons him. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a huge change in Daryl’s persona over the course of The Walking Dead Season 7. Daryl didn’t exactly fit in anywhere in Alexandria and slowly drifted away from Rick when he refused to let new people into the community.
Daryl’s always tried to see the good in people, despite the terrible things that happened to his group. He wanted to go out and look for more communities, and that’s how he encountered Dwight. Daryl tried to help Dwight and give him a safe place to go back to, but Dwight refused and now he’s stuck with Negan.
The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Oct. 23 on AMC.
