Not everyone will take Rick Grimes’ side when it comes to the all-out war brewing against The Saviors. The Walking Dead star Ross Marquand (Aaron) recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the tension going into Season 7. As we all know, Negan took out Lucille and killed a beloved member of Rick’s crew.
We may not know who Negan killed, but the consequence will be “brutal” and Season 7 will be “insane,” according to Marquand. The Walking Dead Season 6 finale teased the possible introduction of Ezekiel and the Kingdom, another great character and community from the comic books.
However, Marquand told Entertainment Weekly the show might introduce other communities as well. It would be too soon to see The Whisperers, a cult of survivors who wear walker skins to live amongst the dead. There’s a possibility the show will create a new community to switch things up in the show and introduce new characters. Still, Hilltop, Alexandria and The Savior’s homebase, The Sanctuary, will be enough to keep fans on their toes during the first half of Season 7.
“This season is all about expanding the world of the communities,” Marquand told Entertainment Weekly . “Of course, we got introduced to the Hilltop, and we’ve got the Saviors, and we already were introduced to the Wolves, but now we’re seeing all these different factions really start to come together. Because for a while there it was just roaming bands of people who weren’t very sizable, and now they’ve all bound together and they’ve got weapons and they’ve got a lot of resources at their disposal. There’s going to be a massive clashing off communities, and some will work together and some will literally tear each other apart.”
The Walking Dead Season 7 will return to AMC this October.
