The Walking Dead Season 7 continues, and we have a fresh batch of SPOILERS to share from episode 6. This week we’ll finally learn what happens to Tara and Heath, but is one of them marked for death? Thanks to two Q and A’s from The Spoiling Dead Fans and a preview from TV Geek Talk, we have some concrete answers.
Episode 6 will waste no time filling in plot holes, as flashbacks tell us the events befalling the scavenging duo. While looking for supplies, they come across an abandoned camp with massive sand piles. When trying to uncover something of value, a massive trove of walkers is unearthed that becomes too much to handle. Tara and Heath get separated in the fray and don’t unite by the end of the script.
In the present day, Tara wakes up on a beach surrounded by food, water and a spear left by an unknown woman. Tara follows her back to her home, and we find out that her name is Cyndie. She lives at a community called Oceanside. Her grandmother, Natania, is the fearless leader in charge. There’s also Rachel, a little girl with a serious knack for vanquishing walkers.
Just like the other communities featured in The Walking Dead Season 7, Oceanside has had problems with Negan and the Saviors. While it’s not shown in episode 6 specifically, the viewer learns that, after a heated altercation, Negan and his soldiers kill all of the community’s men. As a result, only women and children remain. To make matters even more interesting, a strict policy has been devised to kill any strangers that enter camp.
Initially this hit list doesn’t include Tara, but she eventually makes the mistake of telling her new friends about Alexandria’s assault on Negan’s outpost in Season 6. Fearing the new arrival may be too dangerous, two Oceanside loyalists named Beatrice and Kathy are instructed to put Tara to death by making her believe that there will be an alliance between the two groups. In the woods the pair attack, and she manages to get away. It’s Cyndie who later helps her escape a walker deathtrap further down the road.
Eventually the the allies part ways, but, before doing so, Cyndie asks Tara to swear she will never discuss what she has seen. Will she keep her word when Negan starts pressuring her family? Only time will tell.
As for the rest, Tara never finds Heath, but she does discover that he has taken the car they came in. At Alexandria, she’s told about Glenn, Abraham and Denise, which obviously hurts her greatly.
The Walking Dead season 7, episode 6 comes to AMC Nov. 27.
