Supergirl plans to warm up her seat in The CW’s fall lineup ahead of the Season 2 premiere on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. Starting Aug. 1, The CW will air two episodes every Monday at 8 p.m., giving fans a refresher of all 20 episodes before the vibe gets different due to Supergirl’ s switcheroo from CBS.

It’s a safe bet these episodes will become available to watch for free on CWTV’s website as they air, just like the series will during the regular season. So if you're a DC TV fan willing to give Supergirl a chance, now is the time. If Supergirl turns out to be as good as The Flash during its tenure on CW, then catching up on the first season may be an underwhelming but necessary task.

As for Supergirl Season 2, expect to see DC Comics favorite superhero: Superman. Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin will play the Man of Steel, who was hinted at many times last season but never seen up close. The first episode of Season 2, “The Adventures of Supergirl,” is a direct reference to the many iterations of “The Adventures of Superman,” so it will be interesting to see just how much Clark Kent fans will get to see of him before he’s swept away.

Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, is set to join the Supergirl cast as none other than the President of the United States. Lex Luthor’s sister Lena, veteran journalist “Snapper” Carr, proud detective Maggie Sawyer, a villainous female doctor and a new ambitious Cat Co. employee, Nick Farrow, are also all set to join the cast in the upcoming season.

How exactly The CW plans to integrate Supergirl into the existing Arrowverse has yet to be revealed, but it’s either going to be by way of Justice Society of America (recently confirmed in the Legends Season finale), or through the aftermath of Barry Allen’s Flashpoint arc set in motion during The Flash Season finale.
