2K and Firaxis Games know fans are tired of waiting for the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen. They also know how important the franchise’s character creator has been in building an audience for the XCOM: Enemy Unknown reboot and its 2016 sequel. So it only makes sense Firaxis would put that information to use, providing XCOM fans with a well-timed (and threadbare) distraction during the final countdown to the War of the Chosen release date.
Before anyone panics, Propaganda Center isn’t another XCOM 2 expansion that you’ll need to save up for. It’s a free piece of software that lets Steam users create pro-human propaganda with their XCOM 2 recruits and/or new soldiers designed using PC . Players can import their existing soldiers into Propaganda Center to be used in posters and other content that Firaxis is hoping you’ll feel compelled to share on social media. XCOM fans can also use Propaganda Center to get a head start on designing a new squad of soldiers, which can then be imported into the game, before War of the Chosen debuts later this month.
If (for some reason) you’re worried about system requirements, 2K says Propaganda Center has the same technical needs as the vanilla XCOM 2. And since you probably don’t have those memorized, here’s a quick refresher:
