All players are invited to a new contest in Fallout 76. Get ready for the Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P. Contest. It's running from July 10 to July 26.
In this competition, all players need to do is build a C.A.M.P. or Shelter following the theme. They can submit their C.A.M.P. in one of three categories:
- Best Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P. (basic C.A.M.P.)
- Most Creative Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P. (a creative C.A.M.P. – i.e. not just a cabin with camping gear)
- Best Abstract Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P. (using unconventional items to create an abstract C.A.M.P.)
For any of these categories, the judging criteria are:
- creativity (50%)
- quality and entertainment value (30%)
- appropriateness to the public image of the Contest Entities (20%)
To submit their C.A.M.P. and enter the contest, players can go to the official Discord and head to the #SummerCampContest channel. There they can create a post which can be images (up to five) or one 30-second video of the C.A.M.P. or Shelter. Players just need to be sure to select the tag for their category choice when they make the post. Players can use Adventure Mode or Custom Worlds, and all Platforms are eligible to enter.
Voting
Once submissions close on July 26, the entries are going to be narrowed down to 15 semi-finalists. These 15 semi-finalists are then reviewed and voted on a live stream by a panel of judges at QuakeCon on August 10. Three final winners are then from the semi-finalists, one for each category. These are:
- Super Duper Pioneer! (Best Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P.)
- Innovative Pioneer! (Most Creative Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P.)
- Resourceful Pioneer! (Best Abstract Summer Sleepaway C.A.M.P.)
Prizes
The 15 semi-finalists win 5,000 Atoms each. The final three winners meanwhile win:
- Super Duper Pioneer! - 20,000 Atoms
- Innovative Pioneer! - 20,000 Atoms
- Resourceful Pioneer! - 20,000 Atoms
Best Builds
This new competition is actually a good way to practice and prepare for a feature that's being worked on for the game. It's called as Best Build and is a system where players get to submit, visit, and then rate the submitted C.A.M.P.s. These creations by players can be visited by other players who can enjoy the comforts, design, and even the unique tastes made by the builder. Of course, for those who want to show their appreciation when they visit, they can live a "like".
