The intersection between movies and video games has always been an exciting space for fans. During the recent release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, audiences were treated to a surprising delight - a small gameplay snippet from the highly anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man 2 video game.

If you have a keen eye and have watched Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, you may have noticed a few seconds of brand-new gameplay footage of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Don't be sad if you haven't as it was very well hidden.
In the above tweet, you can see the game's footage on the monitor. The clip is quite blurry but you can see Spider-Man in combat against enemies. When asked by fans, Insomniac community director James Stevenson confirmed that the footage was brand-new. The inclusion seems like a nice easter egg for the upcoming Sony game.

If a few seconds of blurry footage isn't enough to tame you, then you can watch more than 10 minutes of gameplay below. Sony showed fans the game in all its glory at PlayStation Showcase in late May.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is closer than you might think. Fans who are hoping for more Spider-Man-related content will be glad to know that the upcoming game will release for PlayStation 5 in late 2023. If you can't wait that long, you can also play the first game, Marvel's Spider-Man and its spin-off Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS4, PS5, and PC.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the sequel to the 2018 animated hit, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The first film focused on Miles Morales, an Afro-Latino teenager who takes up the mantle of Spider-Man. The film was a critical and commercial success thanks to its unique and revolutionary animation style. A third movie in the series is currently in development, along with a female-focused spin-off film.
