While Alien: Rogue Incursion's placement in the franchise's timeline is still unknown, it is said to offer an original story where Hendricks will venture to Purdan alongside Davis-01. The duo will have to investigate a black site facility.

As fans might have expected, the protagonist quickly encounters Xenomorphs within the facility and must fight for her survival. Players will have to rely on pulse rifles, shotguns, revolvers, and the franchise's trademark motion sensor, according to GamingBolt.

In a short blog post, developer Survios said that Hendricks' former squad mate has gone missing on the remote mining planet Purdan.

The studio added that the protagonist's mission is to rescue her friend by any means necessary and ensure that not a single Xenomorph gets off the planet in one piece.

Alien: Rogue Incursion was initially announced in April and is a single-player action-horror game that was specifically designed for VR. Survios developed the game in collaboration with 20th Century Games.

With all of the weapons that are featured in the game, Alien: Rogue Incursion is described as featuring "dynamic" combat where players' actions matter. Additionally, Xenomorphs will spawn if too much noise is made, said UploadVR.

The official gameplay description on its Steam page says that the game has Xenomorphs that can intelligently use the environment to find the best angle of attack. They can also appear anywhere around the player.

An Immersive VR Experience

Having players use VR to immerse themselves in the game will also test players' nerves and skill as they feel the "pulse-pounding terror" of fighting against alien enemies. Other than weapons, players will need to be resourceful and have quick reflexes to survive.

In the recent gameplay trailer that Survios shared, Hendricks is seen fighting off against Xenomorphs on Purdan with a transmission from the protagonist herself narrating the footage.

She said that she found what she was looking for on the mining planet, which is a full-blown infestation, and that everyone is dead.

Alien: Rogue Incursion features a variety of firsts for the franchise, including Hendricks being a playable character, who first appeared in Aliens: Defiance, according to AVPGalaxy.
