Bandai Namco has just announced the newest character to make it to the Jump Force roster, and it’s none other than All Might. For those of you don’t know him, All Might is the mightiest hero from the anime My Hero Academia. His signature moves in the show are hard-hitting punches named after a handful of states in the U.S., like the Texas Smash and the Oklahoma Smash.
In a recent Twitter post from Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company announced that All Might will be coming to Jump Force next month, in May 2019. As shown in the teaser images that accompanied the tweet, All Might will be donning his signature blue, red, and white costume as he brings his brand of Justice to the crossover anime fighting game. All Might is the second DLC character to be announced since Jump Force's official launch last March, and he releases alongside Yu-Gi-Oh!’s Seto Kaiba and another, yet-unnamed character in May.
In My Hero Academia (Boku No Hīrō Akademia in Japan), most of the world’s children are born with special powers called Quirks. All Might’s Quirk just happens to be godlike physical strength. Just like in the anime, All Might uses his quirk to pull off seemingly simple fighting moves with devastating effect. The Jump Force roster also includes My Hero Academia’s main protagonist, Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, making All Might the second character from the show to be included in the game.
Thanks to the gaming community’s data-mining efforts, we now also know all of All Might’s super moves in Jump Force. True to the anime, All Might will be bringing with him his arsenal of American-inspired fighting moves. His signature moves include Detroit Smash, Carolina Smash, and Oklahoma Smash, while his Ultimate move will be United States of Smash.
All Might, Seto Kaiba, and another yet-to-be named character will be released next month as paid DLCs for Bandai Namco’s Jump Force. As outlined in their roadmap, Bandai Namco will bring lots of free content to the game as well, but players will have to shell out a few bucks if they want to play All Might, Seto Kaiba, and the upcoming third DLC character.
