Developer MANGLEDmaw Games and publisher DreadXP announced an official release date for Amanda the Adventurer 2 coming to PC via Steam.
The sequel to the viral horror hit will be launching on Oct. 22, 2024, and will be available for a price of $9.99. The game follows the story of Riley Park who uncovered what was contained on the mysterious tapes in their family's attic.

She then travels to the Kensdale Public Library to investigate the matter even further. However, when she arrives, she is greeted by a masked figure who claims to have known her Aunt Kate before she died.
The mysterious figure apparently needs help finding something that belonged to Aunt Kate that was left in the library. It also warns Riley of a powerful entity that seems to be drawn to the tapes that she found before, according to IGN.
On the other hand, Amanda has now become aware of Riley's presence and is doing everything in her power to free herself. The stakes suddenly become higher than ever before as it is not just Amanda who is looking for Riley.
Amanda the Adventurer 2 marks the return of an interaction cartoon where players can talk directly to Amanda.
But unlike before, your input now has a bigger effect on her world. The sequel also introduces a new interaction type that lets you explore the environment to find something that Amanda asks for.
The sequel also adds a new area, the Kensdale Public Library, which is said to be a bigger environment that has even more secrets and lore for players to uncover.
You will also be accompanied by new friends as neither Riley nor Amanda will be alone on their adventures, Gematsu said.
A Horrifying Story
The release date announcement also came alongside a new trailer that showed what fans can expect when Amanda the Adventurer 2 drops later this month.
The publisher said that the next chapter of Riley's story is ready to unfold. It added that it is as unsettling as players hoped it would be.
When the game launches, players will be able to dive even deeper into the story of Amanda, Riley, and Aunt Kate. They will also be able to watch the sinister production of Amanda the Adventurer 2 unfolding what is considered to be a horrifying story, according to God is a Geek.
The trailer in particular showed various puzzles that players will have to complete throughout their adventures. It also shows a glimpse of the Kensdale Public Library and builds up the lore even more.
