Cody Rhodes’ new villain becomes a Stardust drug dealer in Star City next week. In a recent trailer (above) for Arrow Season 5 episode 3, “Matter of Trust,” Oliver reveals that Rhodes was killed by a vigilante, but somehow comes back to life with super strength or maybe he had it all along. Apparently, he can’t feel pain. He even lights himself on fire in the brief clip.
However, we actually get a better look at Rhodes’ character, who Oliver calls Sampson, in “Matter of Trust” photos. The villain is seen post-transformation wearing a badass leather jacket. You can see his purple veins pulsing through his skin and a huge gash on the side of his face.
Rhodes appears to be just a villain of the week, so enjoy the Stardust vs. Green Arrow rematch whether you're the biggest Arrow fan or not. Spoiler alert, it’s a safe bet Oliver is going to come out on top, but it’ll be interesting to see how much effort it takes.
It’s also interesting that another vigilante ‘killed’ Sampson, not a Green Arrow or a member of the new team. Could it be the new Star City District Attorney, Adrian Chase, who went after Sampson? We haven’t met Chase yet, but in the comics, he goes by the codename Vigilante. Check out the synopsis for, “Matter of Trust,” below.
WRESTLING STAR CODY RHODES BRINGS THE SMACK DOWN TO STAR CITY —Now that Oliver (Stephen Amell) has his new team, they are ready to hit the streets but Oliver doesn’t feel they are ready.
