Assassin's Creed Valhalla isn't necessarily a difficult game that demands you to choose the right skills to make it through the initial stages. However, there are certain skills that, when unlocked earlier, will result in a more enjoyable experience. Assassin's Creed Valhalla features a bigger skill tree than the previous games, with plenty of exciting skills waiting to be unlocked. So, if you've just begun your playthrough of the game, here are five of the best skills you will want to unlock first in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
To start, the Skill Tree is more of a Skill Web, with branches shooting off at seemingly random angles. However, there are three main areas of the skill tree. The skill tree branches out into melee, ranged, and stealth, marked by red, blue, and yellow colors respectively.
Stomp
Stomp is an early skill that you can unlock in the red branch that allows you to finish off enemies that fall on the ground using a powerful stomp. This is really helpful for quickly finishing off enemies, which really comes into play if you are getting surrounded by multiple bad guys at once.
Advanced Assassination
If you play the game as it is intended to be played, that is without enabling guaranteed assassination, you'll need the advanced assassination skill under the yellow branch. The advanced assassination will enable you to take out high-level targets with a timed attack. It's pretty crucial if you want to play with stealth in mind.
Emergency Aim
Emergency Aim is a skill that allows you to snap your aim at an enemy upon detection. This useful skill will prevent you from alerting all enemies in the area if you can fire an arrow off quickly enough to silence the enemy. Emergency Aim can be found in the blue branch of the skill tree.
Stealth Recon
Stealth Recon under the blue branch automatically highlights enemies whenever you crouch. With this skill unlocked, you won't have to constantly scan for enemies.
Brush With Death
The Brush With Death skill can be found under the yellow branch, and it slows the time down when you dodge an enemy attack, giving you an upper hand over your enemies. If you want to focus on melee fighting at all, this one is crucial.
Beyond these, there are many more skills waiting to be unlocked in Assassin's Creed Valhalla that can make the game a lot more fun. But if you've just started your viking adventure, these five skills will greatly improve your experience.
