Days Gone , a former PS4-exclusive title, will finally release on PC within 24 hours. The PC port of the game was announced back in February, after months of waiting, it’s finally here. This will be the second major first-party title by Sony to make its way to the master race. Check out 15-minutes Days Gone PC footage below:
Pre-Load and Release Time
You can choose to pre-load Days Gone from both Epic Games Store and Steam. The game will be available to play at 12 a.m. EST. However, only those who preordered the game can pre-load it, so you may want to wait for reviews before spending $50. Why? Because Days Gone itself had performance issues when it was released for PlayStation 4. Moreover, Sony's previous first-party title, Horizon Zero Dawn also had performance issues on PC at launch. Thankfully, most of them were patched out over time.
Before you play the game, you will also have to make sure that you can run it. Check out our previous article to read the official PC system requirements.
Extra Features
As you would expect, the PC version will come with some improvements, such as support on super-resolution photo mode, unlocked frame rate, widescreen, and customizable graphics. The developer revealed a PC feature trailer as well which you can watch above. You can also check out our previous article for more information.
Previous PC Port and Future
Normally, Sony has a tight grip on its first-party title as the company doesn’t let its games slip to other platforms. Though recently they have changed their stance a bit. Horizon Zero Dawn became the first major AAA title to release on PC and Jim Ryan, CEO of SIE, has himself come out and said that they have a “whole slate” of games for PC.
Other rumors have suggested that Bloodborne, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima might get a PC release as well. Yet there has not been an official announcement. So take it with a grain of salt.
