Days Gone was announced for PC back in late February. It was revealed that the open-world zombie game will release sometime during spring 2021. At the time, we didn’t have an actual release date. But now we do and the game will be available for the platform on May 18 worldwide. You can already preorder the game on Epic Games Store and Steam for $49.99
The price tag includes the base game, New Game Plus mode, Survival mode, Challenge mode, and some cool bike skins. As you would expect, Days Gone for PC is also the best version of the game sporting an unlocked frame rate, 21:9 widescreen support, improved and customizable graphics, super-resolution photo mode, and much more. You can check out the PC feature trailer below. More information about the PC version is mentioned here.
While you can preorder the game, it doesn't mean your machine can run it. So make sure that your PC meets the official system requirements, which are quite similar to that of Horizon Zero Dawn .
HZD was the very first PlayStation-exclusive title to release on PC, while Days Gone is the second such title. Sony has also said that a “whole slate” of PS4 games is planned for the PC release. When Horizon Zero Dawn was launched on PC, it had some technical issues. We hope that Sony has learned from its mistake and that Days Gone will be smoother.
There have been some rumors lately suggesting that Sony is developing Bloodborne Remastered, which will release on PS5 and PC later this year. After that, Ghost of Tsushima and God of War (2018) will also launch on PC. Though they are just rumors so take them with a grain of salt. Click here for more information.
Days Gone is also free on PS4 via the PS Plus subscription service. Click here for more information.
