Destiny: Rise Of Iron is finally available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, giving the community one last premium expansion to enjoy during the ongoing wait for Destiny 2. And what would a new Destiny expansion be without new items for the community to spend dozens of hours grinding for. We’ve already shown you how to claim the ‘Sing The Iron Song’ achievement, grab all the Dead Ghosts added in Rise of Iron and and round up Dormant SIVA clusters. Now we’re showing you how to increase your stash of Silver Dust.
If there’s one thing players won’t ever say about Destiny , it’s that Bungie’s shared-world shooter doesn’t have enough resources and currencies to collect. As if you didn’t already have a veritable scavenger hunt of items to collect, anytime you wanted to upgrade new gear, Destiny: Rise Of Iron has introduced a new currency, Silver Dust. As many players have already noticed, two of the items in Xur’s weekly inventory call for the currency, and both of the weapon ornaments the Agent of the Nine is offering for 25 Silver Dust are bound to be popular with the Destiny community.
How To Get Silver Dust
There are two ways to get Silver Dust in Destiny: Rise Of Iron:
Collect it from Radiant Treasures (1+ SD per box)
Dismantle unwanted/extra weapon ornaments (5 SD per ornament)
Neither is a particularly fast method. Weapon ornaments aren’t common drops in Destiny, so most players won't have a plethora of unwanted baubles to break. And you’re only guaranteed one Silver Dust per Radiant Treasure. So those hoping to grab a weapon ornament from Xur might want to start grinding now.
