Those who cannot wait to play Diablo II: Resurrected will be happy to know of the open beta starting August 20.
While those who pre-ordered the game have already tried the beta, the majority of fans haven't. So, this open beta will let them use any of the five available character classes: Barbarian, Sorceress, Amazon, Druid, and Paladin on Saturday.
While there is no level cap, any progress that you’ve made during the beta test will not carry over to the final version of the game. However, this does present you with an opportunity to try as many builds as you like.
The open beta will begin on August 20 at 1 p.m. EST and will last until August 23 at 1 p.m. EST.
Additional Details
Multiplayer will be enabled during the beta testing phase along with cross-progression. This means that your progress will be saved no matter what platform you are going to use.
Speaking of platforms, the game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. So, there is plenty for you to choose from.
What to Expect?
During the technical alpha, there were only three playable character classes: Barbarian, Sorceress, and Amazon. This time, developers added the shape-shifting Druid class and the shield-wielding Paladin in the open beta.
In addition, you can fully explore Act I: The Sightless Eye and Act II: The Secret of the Vizjerei to your heart’s content.
How to Participate
It is very easy to take part in the open beta. On PC, all you have to do is fire up your Battle.net client and then pre-load the game from there.
Xbox users can start preloading the beta today by going to the Xbox Live Marketplace. For Playstation, you can head over to the Playstation Store and download the game.
Xbox Live Gold and Playstation Plus subscriptions are not necessary to play the beta, though they will be required for you to access the multiplayer features once Resurrected fully launches on September 23.
Although you can start installing the beta today, keep in mind that the game will not be accessible until August 20, 1 p.m EST when the testing phase commences.
So, are you going to take part in the Diablo II Resurrected open beta weekend?
