Final Fantasy 15 ’s Moogle Chocobo Carnival begins Jan. 24 and it launches with some exclusive outfit DLC. A Japanese trailer reveals what the redesigned city of Altissia will look like and what outfits have been made for the party.
As noted in our previous article on the subject, there will essentially be two versions of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival based on whether you downloaded the free Holiday Pack or if you have the Holiday Pack and a season pass. Press releases told us that the Choco-Mog Tee outfit would be for free players, while the Festive Ensemble is reserved for paid ones.
Now, thanks to this trailer, we have a better idea of how the festive clothes will look. The tee is a yellow and white shirt themed around your favorite bird pals, and it’s topped off with an appropriate baseball cap. The Festive Ensemble is a lot more complete, dark and sophisticated. It’s got a matching top, bottom and hat to create the full effect.
As cool as this trailer is, however, there’s a lot we still don’t know about the Moogle Chocobo Carnival or its perks. Just how involved will the extra content be? Do the themed outfits carry any benefit when worn after the event is over? How long will the whole thing last?
In order to take part in the fun, you must install the free Holiday Pack DLC that includes the Carnival Passport key item.
