Things have been pretty quiet lately with GTA Online and Rockstar, but the company has just revealed some loose plans for what’s coming to the online open-world game. Two new updates were detailed, but no release plans have been mentioned yet.
The first update mentioned seems like it will be the next big one. Following up on Executives and Other Criminals, new areas for crime have opened up. Players will be able to buy a big new property that can be used as a criminal organization headquarters as well as a warehouse for holding your illegal contraband.
Players can manage this warehouse and arrange for buyers and sellers to come check out what you have to offer. Because this is GTA Online, doing a pickup of contraband will never go as smoothly as you hope. Also, your warehouse becomes a target, so be ready to defend it from raids if you want your loot to be in good condition.
The second update seems much more straightforward. Taking a cue from the community, Rockstar is creating a new Stunt Racing category for players to try out all sorts of crazy race tracks. There will be new stunt vehicles and gear launching alongside a revamped Creator to allow for even more crazy races to get made.
Rockstar also mentions there will be more small updates coming as well. These will include new Adversary modes, like the recently released In and Out mode. Players can also expect to see more special bonus weeks, allowing those who participate to earn bonus RP and GTA$.
Again, no release timelines have been revealed for any of this content. With the lack of big leaks, we probably will not be seeing it for a while either. Expect the next big GTA Online update to come in either June or July.
