Developer Crytek Studio has deployed a new patch for Hunt: Showdown. Update 1.8 - Hotfix 2 resolves the ladder animation bug where you can use equipment while climbing up the ladder. It also fixes some issues concerning the Concertina Armored.
The Concertina Armored is a variant of the Armored enemies typically found walking in swamp areas. This particular variant is fully entangled in concertina wire and deals bleeding damage if you’re in melee range.
Anyway, the game’s latest update fixes the issue where the Concertina Armored can damage you when you hit them with non-melee attacks. So for instance, firing crossbow bolts at them will no longer damage you.
Another major bug concerning the Concertina Armored where it could deal a huge amount of damage to nearby players if it was set on fire is now resolved.

- Fixed a bug that allowed players to break the ladder animation meaning they could use equipment while climbing
- Fixed an issue where the audio for burning bodies would not play as intended
- Fixed an issue that caused the wrong cards to appear for the Bloodbond packs in the in-game store
- Fixed a bug that gave the incorrect unlock rank to the Scottfield resulting in it not being visible through the progression lists
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from rebinding certain keys in the settings menu
- It is no longer possible to perform a Dark Tribute while in the matchmaking queue
- Added some missing audio tied to the filters in the store pages
- Fixed a bug that removed the sway from the Crown & King while in ADS
- Fixed a bug that caused hunters to drop one of their weapons (the one not currently selected) after being revived
While the devs are hard at work to fix as many issues as possible, it seems that there are still some game-breaking bugs left unresolved. One user reported that there’s an easily repeatable glitch involving the ladder where you can see through walls. Hopefully, this gets addressed soon.
