Hunt: Showdown Update 1.7.2 New Feature and Weapon Variants Added

Hunt: Showdown is a first-person shooter game where players are bounty hunters and must kill mythical creatures to claim rewards. The game just received Update 1.7.2 which introduces a new feature and new weapon variants.

First Bounty Extraction bonus

The developers have added a new feature that allows players to earn additional XP and Hunt Dollars for their first successful bounty extraction for each hunter. Players can grind using this feature but must remember that they can only use it once per hunter each day. That’s not the end of it as players can get extra rewards if they keep doing this for five days in a row.

New Weapon Variants

The Berthier Mle 92 Deadeye has a side-mounted Deadeye scope that makes it useful for long-range fights.

The Scottfield Model 3 Spitfire is a variant of the base weapon but has an extra trigger guard, which makes it easier to cock the hammer. The barrel size has also been reduced to make it lighter for shooters who like to charge in the fight.

The Scottfield Model 3 Precision is a weapon variant with a stock to the pistol grip, which allows players to better control recoil.

The Scottfield Model 3 Swift has a faster speed loader mechanic than the base, and that allows players to head into battle without worrying about their reload timers every time.

AI
  • Implemented several dedicated server performance improvements tied to the AI cast.
Audio
  • Crouch-walking over broken glass/cans is now slightly louder than crouch-walking on other surfaces. This sound is audible at roughly 25 meters.
Hunter
Friendly Fire
  • The damage reduction from explosives to yourself and teammates has been removed.
  • This means damage from the following is applied to you and your teammates as normal:
    • Dynamite (sticks and bundles)
    • Explosive ammo (including Explosive crossbow bolts)
    • Red Barrels
    • Bomb lance splash Damage
Bounty Revive
  • Increased the damage dealt when reviving a red-skulled teammate with the bounty from 25 to 50 HP.
    • Players performing this revive will not be able to kill themselves accidentally. If you have 50 HP or less while performing this revive, it will stop at 1 HP but will still finish the revive process.
