The latest patch for the survival game ICARUS is probably one of its biggest yet. The Week 23 content update introduces world bosses into the game, with the first one being the large sandworm. To help you find this towering menace, a new workshop item called the World Boss Module has been added to find its location, and other bosses, on the map. Alternatively, the new “Big Game Hunter” talent does the same thing as well.
You can find the large sandworm on any mission that includes the desert biome. Furthermore, a new mission in ICARUS aptly called the “Roaming Sandworm” requires you to find and exterminate the new world boss.
So, what’s the incentive for killing it? It will drop materials for crafting the new Sandworm Gear, which includes the Sandworm armor set, knife, spear, and arrows. Sandworm items generally have higher durability than their Caveworm gear counterparts. Furthermore, the weapons are designed to stop the health regeneration of their victims.
