NetherRealm Studios has released part three of its Shattered Alliance story trailers for Injustice 2 and not only does it show Supergirl’s side of the story and the role she will play but it also revealed the return of Black Adam to the fighting game.
Black Adam returns to Injustice 2 with a sleeker look but with all of the magical power you expect.

Fans get to see a bit of Black Adam’s moveset but the most we get is his super where he tosses Supergirl through the Egyptian desert and into a pyramid before calling down his and Shazam's signature lightning to completely destroy it.
With his inclusion will Shazam return to Injustice 2 as well? Well, his character was killed in the first game but that didn’t stop Green Arrow from returning so only time will tell.
As for Supergirl, we speculated that she would be torn between her cousin Superman and Batman during the story of Injustice 2 and it seems we were right. She aligns herself with Superman when she finds another Kryptonian still lives but she quickly sees that Superman is not noble at all. She even begins to question him by pointing out that the family seal represents hope, something that he isn’t spreading.
Injustice 2 will release on May 16.
