The LG G6 is expected to hit markets March 10, according to a recent report from ETNews. The flagship smartphone is expected to be available for preorder from March 2 to March 9, after LG’s Feb. 26 unveiling during Mobile World Congress.
LG is steadily preparing for the launch of its upcoming device; having already confirmed the LG G6 name, the manufacturer has also uploaded a live stream feed for its launch event.
Rumored specs for the LG G6 include a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip, 6GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB internal storage options, a 16-megapixel rear camera and 12-megapixel front camera, a non-removable battery, a fingerprint scanner, USB-C and Android Nougat.
Leaked images of the LG G6 indicate the device will have a metal, unibody design, moving away from the modular design introduced on the LG G5. The LG G6 is also expected to have a IP67 water resistance rating.
ETNews also reported that Samsung may launch its 2016 flagship, the Galaxy S8, on April 21, after a March 29 unveiling and a preorder period starting April 13.
