Nintendo’s Miitomo mobile app is taking the world by storm, with unique social and gaming aspects that offer something for everyone. However, Miitomo users are quickly learning that to get the most out of the mobile app they will need to accumulate as many coins and tickets as possible.

Not only do the Miitomo coins buy you clothing, it is also used to play the Minigame Drops to gain Candy (used to answer friends questions without having to wait for them to be asked) and exclusive articles of clothing.

We went into how to acquire all sorts of clothing in Miitomo, but this guide will explain all the different ways to win coins and tickets so you can buy your clothing of choice and play all the minigames you want.

So let’s get right into how you can quickly gain the most coins possible: we are omitting in-app purchases because that’s self-explanatory.

DAILY LOG-INS

The first and easiest way to gain coins and tickets. Each day you log-in to your Miitomo app you’ll prompt the app to gift you a prize. Each day the prize will be different and the more consecutive days you log-in, the larger the prize.

Miitomo will also gift you coins and tickets for special events like your first log-in to Miitomo.

FRIENDS

Another easy way to earn coins and tickets in Miitomo is by adding as many friends as possible. You can befriend other Miitomo users through the face to face function, or by linking your other social media accounts to Miitomo and searching for potential friends that way.

Besides having more Miis to interact with and create fun Miifotos with, you will also be gifted with coins for the amount of friends you have. Here’s the graph for what you earn when you reach certain friend milestones.

QUESTIONS

Another benefit of having a ton of Miitomo friends is the increased number questions you are asked and questions you can answer.

Nintendo wants Miitomo users to be active and build a community within the app by asking your Mii questions that you may never have thought of before. This allows for your Miitomo friends to learn something new about you and vice-versa.

And speaking of questions, by answering your Mii’s questions or the questions your friend’s Mii asks, you’ll be gifted coins.

If you answer a question, you’ll gain 15 coins up to five times a day. Listening to a friend’s answers, you’ll gain five coins up to ten times a day. You can do this by visiting a friend’s house or asking them when they visit yours.

However, if you comment on a friend’s answer you’ll gain 15 coins up to five times a day.

LEVELS

If you notice the two levels on the bottom of your screen, those are your Popularity and Style Level. Each is based on your interactions within Miitomo, and raising your levels can benefit you greatly.

The Popularity Level is based on how many questions you answer whether they are yours or your friends’. Also, the more friends you add, the more experience you gain towards this level.

The Style Level is based on your clothing. The more times you change your outfit (even if it’s temporary) will increase the amount of experience you get towards the next level. A nifty trick is to take off a piece of clothing and immediately put it back on. This will count as changing your wardrobe.

Every level you gain will earn you another ticket to use in the Minigames.

MY NINTENDO

There’s another method to gaining tickets. If you linked or created a New Nintendo account you can enroll in the My Nintendo Rewards Program. By completing certain missions within Miitomo you will gain Platinum Points that you can redeem for more tickets.

  1. 1 Game Ticket (Miitomo) - 85 Platinum Points

  2. 5 Game Tickets (Miitomo) - 420 Platinum Points

  3. 10 Game Tickets (Miitomo) - 250 Platinum Points

However, you’re better off saving your Platinum Points for the exclusive Mii outfits like the Mario one that is available now.
