Overcooked! All You Can Eat was released last year but only made available for next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. With the fun this game offers, there’s no doubt there were a lot of players jealous that they weren’t able to try it out.
Today, there’s good news for those players. Overcooked! All You Can Eat is arriving on other platforms on March 23. These include current-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4 along with the Nintendo Switch and PC. Not satisfied? An update is planned to be released post-launch that’s going to ensure cross-platform multiplayer.
Gameplay
In the game, players take on the role of a chef, obviously. The goal is to prepare ingredients, cook, serve, and then clean up, all within a time limit. For each round, players are given an order that they need to complete. What makes the game, especially during multiplayer, much more exciting is that players need to work together to finish the orders.
For each order that’s completed, players earn coins and the objective is to get as many coins as possible within the time limit.
Same Offerings
Overcooked! All You Can Eat is the definitive edition that combines Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2. This upcoming version comes with all the features of the initial title released. That means more than 200 levels and all the DLCs. Players can also expect to try out the seven new levels and even the new assist mode. Then, there’s the 4K resolution and 60 FPS support, except for Switch capped at 30 FPS.
Chefs Galore
The game gives players access not only to three chefs but the whole back catalog of over 80 chefs, each has at least a new alternate skin variant. They may even get the chance to access the Swedish Chef.
New Features
As mentioned, the game has a new assist mode that gives players the choice to increase level times or lengthen the recipe times. Players can even increase the scores that are handed out for each meal or turn off order expiration.
New accessibility options like the scalable user interface are included in the game. Other options include activating dyslexia-friendly text and color-blind friendly chef indicators.
Players can wishlist the game on Steam and get updates on the game’s official Discord.
