Overcooked! All You Can Eat revealed that it’s set to be released later this year. The game is being developed for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. So, what is this game all about? If you’re familiar with both Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2, this upcoming one is a combination and remastered version of the two.
All You Can Eat has a number of features that are sure to attract not only fans of the original series, but also new players. The game is going to offer additional support for cross-platform multiplayer functionality. With an online multiplayer feature, chefs can join in immediately no matter what platform they are on. It also comes packed with all the content not only of Overcooked!, but also Overcooked! 2, and as previously mentioned, has been remastered. It’s also being presented in 60 frames per second and 4K resolution.
Players can also get Exclusive New Kitchens & Cooks. This definitive edition has more than 200 levels plus, seven new ones, along with three new chefs to choose from.
There’s also going to be new Trophies/Achievements that players can unlock. New features like accessibility options and assist mode are sure to ensure that everyone can have a good time. The accessibility functions include dyslexic-friendly text, a scalable user interface, and even color blindness options. The assist mode, meanwhile, gives players the choice to skip levels, increase the duration of rounds, or slow the timeouts on recipes.
In a press release, Ghost Town Games Writer and Studio Manager Gemma Langford said that they are more than happy to be working with Team17 to bring new versions of both Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 to next-gen platforms. She added that they have “been overwhelmed by the support and love shown for the series and can’t wait to bring the chaos to new and experienced players alike.”
Team17 Head of Publishing Max Everingham revealed that when it came to Overcooked! All You Can Eat, they “wanted to make sure to deliver the definitive Overcooked! experience that brings every Overcooked! level online and looks and plays better than ever.” He went on to say that they “hope players are ready to get back into the kitchen when the game launches later this year.”
