Attention trainers! There's going to be a new event in Pokémon GO and it's going to last for days. Get ready for Weather Week which runs from March 14 to March 18.
During the event, trainers who catch Pokémon with Weather Boost get to earn extra Stardust. In addition they also earn 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon. Finally, there's an increased chance to encounter Shiny Castform.
Here's what trainers can look forward to in Weather Week:

- Rainy
- Lotad
- Snow
- Snover
- Partly Cloudy
- Roggenrola
- Cloudy
- Spritzee
- Windy
- Swablu

- These Pokémon appear more frequently in the wild, regardless of the weather conditions:
- Paras
- Drifloon
- Helioptile
- Amaura
- Some Trainers might even encounter Lickitung.
- These Pokémon appear in raids:
- One-Star Raids
- Poliwhirl
- Gastly
- Hippopotas
- Amaura
- Three-Star Raids
- Charizard
- Lickitung
- Drampa
- Five-Star Raids
- Regice
- Mega Raids
- Mega Tyranitar
- These Pokémon are available to encounter after completing Field Research tasks and regardless of weather conditions:
- Paras
- Castform (Normal)
- Castform (Sunny)
- Castform (Rainy)
- Drifloon
- Helioptile
- Amaura
- Complete the Collection Challenges to receive Stardust and an Incense.
- Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during parts of the event where trainers can enter event-themed Pokémon.
March Community Day
The Community Day this March is set to feature Litten. This Fire Cat Pokémon is set to appear more frequently in the wild with trainers lucky enough to encounter a shiny version. There's a lot to be excited about this event considering that trainers get to enjoy these bonuses:
- 3× XP for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
The Community Day is on March 16.
Special Raids
Before Community Day, trainers can test their skills on two special Raid Days. On March 19, Primal Kyogre appears more frequently in raids. Then on March 23 it's Primal Groudon appearing frequently in raids.
