A fun little Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer was released on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel and it has to do with Mimikyu.
The trailer features some new Sun and Moon gameplay as well as a song about Mimikyu and its desire to be like Pikachu, which is the whole point of its design. But within the trailer was a quick shot of Mimikyu performing a brand new Z-Move on Umbreon.

Now as for whether the Z-Move is specific to Mimikyu or if it’s a specific type Z-Move is unknown, but if we were to fancy a guess we would say this is the Fairy-type Z-Move. It fits the theme of the Fairy-type possibly being from space or the moon (ala Clefairy) and not so much the theme of Mimikyu’s design.
And since there hasn’t been a Fairy-type Z-Move revealed yet, it could possibly be that. There’s also the fact that Mimikyu used the Ghost-type Z-Move against Espeon, which is weak against Ghost-type attacks. That would go in line with a Fairy-type Z-move on Umbreon, who is weak against Fariy-type attacks.
There are reportedly 18 type-specific Z-Moves and 11 Pokémon-specific Z-Moves in Sun and Moon, so there is a lot to still be discovered.
Pokémon Sun and Moon will release Nov. 18.
