We got a closer look at every Suicide Squad member in individual promos released this week, but today brings three of the most anticipated DC characters into the spotlight: Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn.
Let’s start with Batman since he only gets a brief snippet of footage instead of his own trailer. First, the Caped Crusader firesa gun and flies up into the air. Then, he’s seen leaping off the ground gliding in full-on Bat form. Skip to 51 seconds in the first video, and 16 seconds in the second.
Now, The Joker. Right off the bat we see Jared Leto creepily muttering, “Where is she?” under his breath. He’s talking about Harley Quinn. Skip forward a few seconds and the two are making out. Then, The Joker has some poor soul kidnapped and warms him up a bit with a back massage before he says, “I can’t wait to show you my toys.”
Harley’s trailer starts of with a classic quiet elevator scene. She effortlessly brings one bad guy down and casually answers a text message before she beats another’s head in with a bat. In a scene from Belle Reve, she tells a guard “I’m bored, play with me,” and runs her tongue down the bars of her prison cell.
Look out for more new footage from San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. Suicide Squad arrives in theaters Aug. 5.
