WWE Superstar Paige hasn’t been on TV for a while now, and she certainly will not be on again any time soon. In a statement released by WWE, Paige has been caught violating the WWE Wellness Policy again.
“WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 60 days effective immediately for her second violation of the company’s talent wellness policy,” the post reads. That’s the entirety of the post, so obviously details are scarce.
In a now-deleted tweet, Paige said “ Same sh** different day. Kids..Please don't get prescriptions or doctors [sic] notes. I guess rules apply for some depending on your status.”
If Paige’s story is correct, this could simply be an error with how the WWE handles prescription medications. If Paige didn’t get her papers filed properly, she could have tested positive for something that otherwise wouldn’t be a problem. This is the same reason given by Eva Marie for her recent suspension as well.
Paige has also reported she will be getting surgery soon. It’s possible she could have been caught with pain medication in her system from the surgery.
Another popular internet theory claims Paige is intentionally sabotaging her WWE career. If she gets let go, she can be closer to her boyfriend Alberto El Patron. Formerly Alberto Del Rio, El Patron was recently released by WWE as well. The difference here is that all accounts point to El Patron’s departure as a civil one, instead of intentional contract suicide.
El Patron was recently caught in a knife fight, causing him to miss a show in his native Mexico. It’s now coming out that there are a few different accounts of the attack, and Paige may or may not have been involved. Really, this whole thing is playing out in the most “professional wrestling” way possible.
As for what the real truth is, we may never know. What we do know for sure is that Paige has been suspended from the WWE for 60 days. As for everything else, we’ll see who says what over the next few weeks.
