BioShock: The Collection
The BioShock series, especially the original BioShock and BioShock Infinite, are lauded for their ability to mess with one's mind. The more time your sink in the game's story, the deeper the rabbit hole goes. From the get-go, players will feel that something isn't right with how everything is portrayed within BioShock and the story only gets worse as one continues to play. However, toward the end of each game, all loose ends that were seemingly abandoned come together, resulting in a satisfying and clearly understood conclusion.
Undertale
Initially, one may assume that Undertale is a game that shines with positivity and encourages players to choose a non-violent approach to the enemies they encounter. But, towards the middle or end of the game, it becomes evident to the player that the game was designed to hijack one's psyche and affirm the choices presented by the game. A great game, in my opinion.

Most gamers may have already played something that put them in the role of a soldier, but in This War of Mine, players assume the role of a civilian stranded between two battling forces. This War of Mine is cleverly designed and regularly puts players in situations where they have to care for themselves and their family with their morality at stake.
Death Stranding
The fourth game on the list is Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, a game that left many gamer's minds boggled. Death Stranding itself opens with a ton of confusion and players are bound to find themselves questioning everything that happens around them. But, as one continues to play, everything slowly comes together in a compelling way.
