There are plenty of games that make you feel like a badass as you slay every enemy standing in your way, but there are very few games that require you to maintain a stealthy approach to accomplish an objective. Yes, we are talking about stealth games today. Stealth games are hella fun, and nowadays stealth has become an important aspect of many video games. However, there are only a few titles that offer a truly satisfying stealth experience. Today, we list eight of our favorite stealth games that you should play in 2020.

Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus is a phenomenal sequel to the critically acclaimed Metro: Last Light. The game takes us on a journey with Artyom and his crew, who leave the shattered ruins of the underground metro tunnel to look for favorable land above. Exodus does a great job of moving away from linear gameplay design into vast open and non-linear levels. The game heavily relies on your stealth abilities and rewards you for non-lethal actions taken throughout the course of the game.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
A Plague Tale: Innocence is a remarkable video game that tells that harrowing story of Amica and her little brother Hugo. The game is set in a plague-ridden France with rats everywhere. A Plague Tale puts a strong emphasis on stealth elements. Being completely vulnerable to human enemies and rats, Amica and Hugo have to sneak around in the shadows and make use of certain stealth elements to make it out alive.
The Last of Us Part II
Although The Last of Us was a good stealth game, it certainly lacked depth in the stealth game mechanics area. Developer Naughty Dog has done a brilliant job in improving the stealth mechanics in The Last of Us Part II. You'll be forced to use the environment to your advantage to stay out of enemy lines of sight, and the devilish AI in the game makes stealth even more enjoyable in The Last of Us Part II.
Death Stranding
Death Stranding is a weird one to include in this list because the game is not entirely reliant on stealth. But when it does, it really makes one feel tense. Of course, you'll spend the majority of the game delivering packages, but if you come across enemies or BTs you'll have to seriously rely on your stealth tactics to save yourself and your packages.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
in our opinion, From Software has done a tremendous job in incorpotating stealth elements in their soulsborne genre of games and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice embodies this vision fully. Given how difficult From Software games can be, stealth in Sekiro allows players to clear out the battlefield of smaller enemies so that you can take on the big bosses one-on-one.
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Yes, Assassin's Creed: Unity released six years ago, and to be honest, the game has stood the test of time. At launch, Unity was plagued with bugs and glitches, but it was soon sorted out with various patches. However, not many people went back to play the game after these issues were fixed and couldn't enjoy the marvel that Assassin's Creed: Unity was. Unlike the recent Assassin's Creed games, Unity has a strong emphasis on stealth as open fights can result in packs of guards overwhelming you in a short time. Thus, stealth is Arno's best friend in Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a stealth haven for stealth fanatics. Every moment spent in Kojima's stealth adventure grants Snake with a plethora of stealth choices. The Phantom Pain allows Snake to approach objectives to your liking and you are not bound by hard codes that require you to follow a certain set of mission rules. The Phantom Pain is definitely the most expansive Metal Gear game we have played.
Hitman 2
A stealth games list without Hitman on it? Not gonna happen. Of course, we almost decided not to include Hitman 2 in this list since it's been out for a while now, but just like Assassin's Creed Unity, Hitman 2 has also stood the test of time. The game features innovative stealth elements including changing attires, hiding in dumpsters, and sneaking past window sills, only to mention a few. Additionally, you also have a host of new weapons and gadgets to help Agent 47 along his journey.
