If the latest teaser for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 episode 2, ‘Meet the Boss,’ is any indication, Quake and Ghost Rider’s impending battle comes at a cost. Something’s going down at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Whether it’s Ghost Rider or something else remains to be seen, but the synopsis for ‘Meet the Boss’ reveals Quake’s confrontation with Ghost Rider has ‘terrible’ consequences.
Daisy goes to battle Ghost Rider at a terrible cost, and Coulson faces the new Director, and his bold agenda surprises them all.
In the sneak peek, Quake pays Ghost Rider a visit at his shop. She’s clearly done her homework. She calls him Robbie, and tells his co workers she’s known him since Crandle Elementary School. He was “always quiet like he’s hiding something,’ Quake said, hoping to set Ghost Rider off. She even name-drops his favorite arcade and mentions his uncle by name. “You get lost, or I’ll get angry..and I might not remember what I do to you,” Ghost Rider warns Quake before the clip ends.
But Ghost Rider isn’t S.H.I.E.L.D.’s biggest problem right now. Agent May’s health is also in question. After a glowing mist and the face of a demonic ghostly woman emerged from the the Chinese gangster’s cargo last episode, May had a vision of Agent Coulson’s head transforming into an evil ghost (see above). The synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 episode 3, ‘Uprising,’ reveals May’s health will become more of a concern.
Coulson, Mack and Fitz try to locate and neutralize a rogue group looking to stop Inhuman Registration worldwide; Simmons and Dr. Radcliffe have only a short time to save May before she succumbs to her illness.
Hopefully we’ll learn more about this rogue anti-Sokovia group in tomorrow night’s episode. Do you think Quake is involved? Let us know in the comments below.
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 episode 2 airs Sept. 27 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
