If you’re wondering when the next episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will air, you may be a bit disappointed.
Episode 3 of the fourth season of ABC’s Marvel series will be taking a very short hiatus to avoid the upcoming Vice Presidential debate, and the latest episode has been pushed back a week. It’s a shame considering how well the first two episodes of the season have done to establish not only Ghost Rider, but the new status quo for both Quake and SHIELD.
But that’s just the way things shake out. Episode 3 of Agents of SHIELD, titled “Uprising,” will air the following Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10p.m.
Here’s a short recap of what has happened so far in Agents of SHIELD Season 4.
First off, Quake has become a vigilante targeting groups who are after Inhumans and are just plain bad. She is currently in California, which is where she meets the Ghost Rider. After some sleuthing, she finds that Robbie Reyes is actually Ghost Rider and they fight. The Rider comes out on top and refuses to kill her even though she wants him to do so.
Quake continues from there to poke the proverbial bear, asking if there is a connection between these two gangs in California before Ghost Rider figures it out and asks Quake to join him in his fight.
What is actually happening is that there is a case that held a spirit, which was released by one of the California gangs. This spirit infects those it comes into contact with, making them see horrible images. Agent May becomes a victim of the spirit and goes crazy back at SHIELD HQ and it takes the new director to take her out. We find out the new director is actually an Inhuman.
The first spirit that was released finds more people who became spirits like her and releases them. So now SHIELD and Ghost Rider/Quake are looking for the spirits and what they are after.
